We are currently recruiting for a 2nd Shift Gluer Operator to join our team at Essentra Packaging. As a Gluer Operator, you will set up, monitor the machine run, and make adjustments as needed while controlling quality and waste, meeting safety requirements, and maintaining housekeeping standards within the folding carton industry.

Skills

• Previous experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
• Experience working as an operator of BOBST Domino and Media, 6X, Vega, or International Royal is preferred
• Hot and cold glue experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to read, write, and speak English
• A team player who can work productively with others
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• Dependable, flexible, and approachable
• Experience in a folded carton facility preferred
• Ability to work overtime

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor the machine run, and make necessary adjustments
• Control quality and waste while maintaining housekeeping standards
• Ensure operating machinery achieves required performance levels
• Record accurate data in the Batch Record, on Visual Boards, and electronically in the computer system
• Support CI initiatives and 5S programs to drive change and process development across the shop floor
• Clean up and discard all leftover cartons from previous jobs
• Assist with training
• Perform general ad-hoc duties as directed by management

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
• Experience in a folded carton facility preferred
