We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Packer to join our manufacturing team. As a Packer, you will engage in general hand and table work, including loading, offloading, and packing finished goods while performing periodic quality checks.

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Competence in reading and interpreting documents such as operating instructions and safety manuals
  • Mechanical aptitude (ability to meet minimum requirements on a mechanical test)
  • Capability to keep up with a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to identify quality issues

Responsibilities

  • Package product from the gluer machine
  • Place labels on boxes consecutively
  • Move pallets around with a manual pallet jack
  • Assist operator with machine setup
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area
  • Check products for quality and count accuracy
  • Set table rollers and wheels
  • Ensure total quality of the job while in operation
  • Maintain the machine and area in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Demonstrate competency in all paperwork

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 months experience in packaging processes preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must pass color vision and color hue test
