Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: \(64,480 - \)85,973 (final compensation is based on experience, education, and internal equity considerations).

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience and education combination).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison between the accounting team and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and prompt issue resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, reconcile accounts, and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering data, and collaborating with auditors.
  • Prepare journal entries, payroll reports, and general ledger transactions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Assist with budget preparation, grant management, and resource allocation to support financial decision-making.
  • Compile and maintain various financial reports, analyzing trends and identifying potential improvements.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as needed to support departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a specialized accounting function (such as grant accounting, payroll, or budgeting).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience and education combination).
