Life Enrichment Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with the Life Enrichment Program Manager and the Life Enrichment Therapist to create a vibrant and engaging environment for our participants. Your primary focus will be to help individuals participate in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life. These activities may include arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, exercise sessions, music, and various special events.

  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia is a plus
  • Experience in event planning is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate both group and individualized activities tailored to meet the social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs of each participant
  • Assist participants in getting to and from activities and community outings, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Collaborate in the development of a monthly activities calendar and plan special events that inspire and engage participants
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the program

Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a social or recreational program, with a focus on activities or life enrichment in a healthcare setting for the elderly. Certification as an Activity Assistant from a recognized body (such as NCCAP or NAPPCC) is a plus
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move 5-10 pounds as needed. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods and assist with transporting wheelchairs when necessary.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $14.00 - 17.00 Per Hour
