Description

The Advanced Technology Specialist will perform technical analysis of the current “as-built” network/infrastructure for the purpose of designing and implementing a new secure IT network/infrastructure solution. This role includes conducting feasibility studies, gathering business, functional, and technical requirements, and performing data modeling, process modeling, and prototyping. You will also create architecture/designs, implementation plans, and support technical documentation and training materials.

Skills

• Understanding of project management methodology.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed computing, client/server, and Internet/intranet technologies.
• Proficiency in network infrastructures, virtualization, LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, RTLS, VPN, TCP/IP, and more.
• Experience in implementing COTS and customized enterprise networks.

• Ability to produce accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and gather requirements.

• Assist with issue and risk management.

Qualifications

• Technical Lead experience on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure projects.
• CCNP, CCIE, Certified Cisco Specialist, or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in developing/reviewing technical requirements and solutions.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Professional certifications related to IT infrastructure and network management are highly valued.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure implementation and network solutions.
• Proven ability to act as a liaison between business and technical staff.
