Career Strategies is hiring for ALL Apartment Maintenance positions, both temporary and temp-to-hire. Apartment Maintenance Technicians are vital to apartment communities, providing solutions to problems while ensuring properties are in excellent condition. As part of the maintenance team, technicians will complete work orders, turnovers, and other required tasks under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

• Start Pay: $18-22 per hour (Depending on Experience and Apartment Community)

Skills

• Previous experience in apartment communities or hotel maintenance; handyman experience is acceptable
• HVAC Certification is a plus
• Competence with maintenance tools and equipment
• Access to personal hand tools and power drill
• Ability to manage physical workload
• Strong attention to deadlines and detail

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and turnovers independently
• Meet all time expectations set by the supervisor
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Execute plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs
• Conduct painting and drywall patching as needed
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Carry out seasonal maintenance tasks, such as swimming pool opening and closing
• Ensure health and safety maintenance tasks are performed, including sprinkler systems and smoke detectors
• Install locks as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance or related fields
• HVAC Certification preferred
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Personal hand tools and power drill access
• Ability to perform physical labor
