ATARID has been retained to identify an Asset Manager for a client, a vertically integrated real estate investment firm specializing in commercial real estate assets. The Associate in Asset Management for Retail Assets will play a crucial role in supporting the Asset Manager with various tasks, including onboarding new assets and managing capital projects to increase occupancy rates across the portfolio.

Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as an Associate in retail commercial real estate assets
  • Fundamental understanding of equity and debt balancing, time value of money, real estate finance, and sophisticated deal structures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong financial background with knowledge of real estate
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and execute projects
  • Results-driven, team player with an ability to collaborate across the organization

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Asset Manager with onboarding new assets and capital projects
  • Analyze leases and rental rates, assisting in leasing decisions and monitoring overall leasing status and strategies for assigned assets
  • Verify accuracy of property operating statements and perform monthly/quarterly variance analysis
  • Support the development, management, and completion of project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate design and construction activities with architects, contractors, surveyors, and consultants
  • Prepare status updates on portfolio assets and provide relevant reports and documentation
  • Identify at-risk projects and propose corrective solutions to senior management

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in retail commercial real estate assets
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or accounting
  • Strong understanding of financial principles related to real estate
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google tools
