• Membership in the California State Bar is required
• Strong negotiation skills

• Substantial California discovery experience
• Local or commute friendly to Long Beach (405 & Lakewood Blvd.)

Responsibilities

• Conduct sophisticated litigation work in class actions, commercial disputes, and maritime law
• Provide legal advice to clients and conduct thorough legal research
• Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
• Draft and review legal documents
• Take depositions and participate in substantial California discovery
• Handle matters related to supply chain, technology, and transportation
• Potentially work on transactional matters as part of our outside general counsel role

Qualifications

• Experience providing legal advice to clients and conducting legal research
• Interest in maritime law and trial experience
• Substantial California discovery experience

Education Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
