We are currently hiring a Remote/Hybrid Associate Electrical Engineer for our client in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle. This position requires at least 2 days per week onsite. Skills

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in the building services and construction industry
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation desirable
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with computational analysis tools
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with experience presenting to high-level stakeholders
  • Ability to propose multiple solutions to clients and summarize the benefits and shortfalls of each

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, architects, and design team members
  • Produce coordinated detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Manage workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians
  • Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions
  • Prepare Technical Specifications
  • Monitor financial performance of jobs and manage administrative systems
  • Mentor junior Electrical Engineers
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and building codes
  • Actively contribute towards delivering profitable projects

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering design within various sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, and Commercial projects
  • Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is desirable

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design
