We are seeking a Controller (mid-level and high-level) to oversee the financial operations of our automotive dealership located in Roanoke, VA. This role involves working closely with the General Manager and the Accounting Team, which includes billers and both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with dealership guidelines
• Partner with dealership management to develop strategies for improving profitability

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee all tax reporting and payments for compliance with regulations
• Develop and maintain effective cash management systems to optimize cash flow

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working in an automotive dealership in accounting as a Controller or Business Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
