While prior estate planning experience is a plus, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with both potential and existing clients, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and have a genuine interest in trust and estate law.

The compensation for the Estate Planning Associate position ranges from \(100,000 to \)150,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of legal documents related to trust and estate matters, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and deeds.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for probate, trust administration, guardianships, and conservatorships.
  • Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs and support them in executing their plans.
  • Attend court hearings, conduct legal research, and gather and analyze client data and information.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A licensed member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney.

Education Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
