The Shift Manager for Furnace Operations is directly responsible for overseeing the operation of the Blast Furnace and cast house. This role involves monitoring the operating conditions of the furnace and making necessary corrective actions. The Shift Manager directs cast house operators, oversees the casting process, and monitors critical cooling systems. Being hands-on, the manager tackles daily operating issues related to cast house and furnace equipment, ensuring the safety of crews and outside contractors while maintaining environmental compliance 24 hours a day. Furthermore, the manager is responsible for shutdown and startup procedures, including critical gas system isolating purges.

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial operations
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in heavy or metals manufacturing preferred
