We are hiring a board-certified Physician - Family Medicine to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our U.S. military and their families at Evans Army Community Hospital located at Fort Carson, CO. Compensation and Benefits

  • Independent Contractor (1099) status
  • Full-time hourly position, paid bi-weekly
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 0730-1630 (subject to change, may include nights, weekends, or home call)
  • May work no more than 40 hours per week without prior authorization

Skills

  • Board certification in Family Medicine
  • Strong clinical skills in examining, diagnosing, and treating patients
  • Ability to educate and counsel patients on preventive care
  • Proficiency in ordering diagnostic tests and making appropriate referrals

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF
  • Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals
  • Examine, diagnose, treat, or prescribe courses of treatment within scope of practice
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals
  • Order diagnostic tests and request consultations/referrals as needed
  • Provide educational lectures and participate in in-service training for clinic staff

Qualifications

  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada, or with ECFMG certification
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license

Education Requirements

  • Graduation from a medical school approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

Experience Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited residency
  • Experience as required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in credentialing instructions
