The Expert Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the business case development, process improvement, and requirements analysis for a new software solution for NC Child Support Services. This remote position requires child support experience and focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Child Support program.

• Extensive knowledge of business system techniques and testing methodologies for software development

Responsibilities

• Identify and document stakeholders, data flows, and current and future state process flows
• Gather, document, validate, and maintain business, functional, and technical requirements
• Translate client’s system requirements into agile themes, product backlogs, epics, and user stories
• Work with Product Owner and subject matter experts to groom user stories and define acceptance criteria
• Confirm functionality with vendors or internal developers and testers
• Participate in gap analysis and requirements development efforts
• Assist in user acceptance testing planning and execution
• Support vendor proposal evaluations and documentation
• Document meeting agendas and facilitate meetings
• Support the project manager in maintaining project artifacts and developing status reports
• Maintain SharePoint site for each assigned project
• Perform other analysis and project support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in business analysis and software development
• 3 years of child support experience required
• Proven track record of successful requirements analysis and documentation

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Experience Requirements

• 7 years of extensive knowledge in business system techniques and testing methodologies for software development
• Solid understanding of various software development frameworks, including experience in a business analysis role
