As a Business Development Specialist, you will be at the forefront of generating and closing sales opportunities aligned with company targets in terms of revenue, profit, collection, and market position. Your focus will be on converting existing power-producing landfill and anaerobic digester projects into biogas upgrading and hydrogen opportunities while proposing new markets for the sales of CNG, RNG, and hydrogen products. You will represent the company professionally with customers and industry partners, maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing a key account strategy to support their needs.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Renewable Natural Gas, CNG, or Hydrogen markets
  • 3+ years in Business Development, ideally in energy sectors
  • Familiarity with Compressors and their application in RNG and biogas systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within Eastern North America
  • Valid Passport for travel within North America and Canada
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and close sales opportunities aligned with company targets
  • Seek out existing landfill and anaerobic digester projects for conversion to biogas and hydrogen
  • Propose new markets for CNG, RNG, and hydrogen products
  • Articulate market drivers to team members, especially in Product Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct analysis on competitors’ pricing and strategies
  • Utilize CRM effectively to log activities and manage sales plans
  • Develop and nurture new business accounts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (preferred)
  • Demonstrated involvement in design and product development
  • Experience in infrastructure planning and build preferred
