The CAD Technician will join our Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Global Practice and will be responsible for performing a variety of CAD drafting tasks on civil and structural engineering projects. Responsibilities include site and road designs, storm drainage systems, storm water management facilities, and more. The role involves executing CAD changes to designs, incorporating client CAD standards, and performing both 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks using appropriate engineering standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, CADWorx, Plant 3D, and Revit
• Experience with Excel to develop design deliverables
• Familiarity with GIS software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD Drafting for civil and structural engineering projects
• Develop drawings for production work on a variety of assignments
• Execute a range of civil and structural CAD assignments using standard techniques
• Mark-up ongoing projects and implement CAD changes as needed
• Incorporate client CAD standards in design requirements
• Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks according to engineering standards
• Maintain project drawings and related information logically and systematically
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting technology or related field, or two years of progressive detailing and design experience
• Proven experience in CAD software and related design tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems
