Skills

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (as applicable)
  • Excellent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Proficiency in interpreting lab results and imaging

Responsibilities

  • Develop differential diagnoses and comprehensive care plans based on patient data
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families to personalize care plans
  • Evaluate and document patients’ responses to care
  • Assume clinical management of critically ill cardiovascular patients in collaboration with physicians
  • Contribute to patient care standards and integrate evidence-based research into practice
  • Participate in clinical research and data collection
  • Provide educational programs to enhance staff knowledge

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • One year of experience is highly preferred
  • RN Compact License (for Nurse Practitioners)

Education Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioners: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post-master’s certificate program; OR certificate from an accredited education program.
  • For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Nursing and Advanced Clinical Practice for Nurse Practitioners
  • Physician Assistant for Physician Assistants

Experience Requirements

  • At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
