As a Heavy-Duty Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. This role requires a commitment to following all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.

  • Ability to operate a heavy-duty truck safely and efficiently
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
  • Strong communication skills to relay customer requests or issues
  • Attention to detail for performing vehicle inspections and maintaining documentation
  • Capability to cooperate and participate in training and meetings

Responsibilities

  • Operate the vehicle in compliance with all safety regulations and company expectations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)
  • Report any unsafe situations or service calls immediately to Route Manager or Dispatch
  • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, or property damage
  • Ensure customer locations are left clean and free of debris
  • Complete all documentation at the end of the route

Qualifications

  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) required
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Acceptable driving record required
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
