Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Coordination: Build and maintain strong, empathetic relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to enhance patient care and overall practice goals
  • Efficient Patient Flow: Assist with patient visits, ensuring a timely and organized experience
  • Clear Communication: Ensure smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers
  • Medical Assisting Duties: Perform vital tasks such as taking accurate vital signs, performing EKGs, conducting point-of-care tests, and more
  • Population Health Support: Lead efforts to achieve quality health goals, including outreach and health coaching
  • Equipment and Supplies Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked medical area
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): Use the EHR system to manage tasks related to patient information
  • Scheduling and Insurance Verification: Coordinate diagnostic tests and confirm insurance details
  • Patient Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure confidentiality of patient health information

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in Health Science preferred)
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (or other relevant certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistant or Phlebotomy)
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science preferred
