Skills

• Active CTRS credential from NCTRC is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Valid, non-probationary state driver’s license.
• Personal vehicle insurance that meets minimum coverage requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop a variety of therapeutic programs (small group, one-on-one, large group).
• Research and implement new and exciting program ideas, incorporating participant suggestions.
• Plan the weekly therapeutic schedule in collaboration with the Clinical Services Manager.
• Coordinate daily programs and activities with the Program Manager.
• Purchase activity supplies, set up activity spaces, and train team members on safety measures.
• Assist with transporting individuals to and from activities and appointments.
• Complete recreational assessments and develop individualized recreational goals.
• Document weekly progress notes to track individual progression.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, ABA, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with 2 years of experience in a similar role may be considered.
• Two years of experience providing recreational groups/activities or similar activities.
• One year of experience working with individuals meeting program admission criteria is preferred.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, ABA, or a related field preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Active CTRS credential from NCTRC required.

Experience Requirements

• Two years of experience in providing recreational groups/activities or similar activities.
