We are seeking a self-motivated Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team within our freestanding clinic in the Portland, OR area. Our independent clinic has been known for its compassionate and personalized approach to care, proudly serving our community for over 40 years. As the Chief Radiation Physicist, you will plan, organize, and direct the activities of physics within the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure safe, accurate quality radiation therapy services.

Skills

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Medical Physics
  • Experience with Elekta linear accelerators and Monaco treatment planning system
  • Dosimetry experience and certification preferred
  • Strong planning and judgment abilities
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the physics activities within the Radiation Oncology Department
  • Ensure the delivery of safe and accurate radiation therapy services
  • Collaborate with medical teams to implement best practices in patient care
  • Contribute to the development of innovative cancer care solutions

Qualifications

  • At least five years of direct experience in the field
  • Proven ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals

Education Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree required

  • Medical Physics or a related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in medical physics
  • Proven experience with relevant technologies and methodologies in radiation therapy
