Structured typically from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM to align efficiently with local academic schedules. ✅ Qualifications ✔️ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school ✔️ Active, unrestricted California Medical License ✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry ✔️ American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified ✔️ Active DEA Registration ✔️ Deep clinical understanding of pediatric psychopharmacology, trauma-informed delivery models, and developmental milestones ✔️ Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaborative capabilities ✅ Key Responsibilities ✔️ ADHD Evaluation & Academic Accommodation Conduct comprehensive ADHD diagnostic evaluations utilizing standardized Vanderbilt scales. Formulate and implement target recommendations to support school-based 504 plans and Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations. ✔️ Autism & Developmental Psychopharmacology Manage precise psychopharmacology regimens for individuals on the autism spectrum (ASD), including prescribing FDA-approved medications for irritability and aggression (e.g., aripiprazole). Coordinate pharmacological efforts seamlessly with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapists. ✔️ Forensic & Court-Ordered Evaluations Perform specialized, court-ordered clinical evaluations for child welfare and dependency cases. This includes conducting objective assessments of parental competency and evaluating minor patients experiencing complex, trauma-related dissociative symptoms. ✔️ Fellowship Supervision & Crisis Intervention Supervise and mentor Child Psychiatry Fellows on advanced, acute crisis intervention techniques. Provide clinical instruction on treating youth experiencing acute suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, and psychiatric emergencies.
