The Waste Management Driver operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes safely. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that essential services are efficiently delivered while following all safety and operational guidelines.

  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks safely
  • Strong attention to detail for inspections and documentation
  • Customer service skills to communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicle in compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle
  • Report unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch
  • Participate in training and meetings as required
  • Collaborate with Route Managers to enhance route efficiencies
  • Notify Route Manager of incidents, accidents, or property damage
  • Ensure that containers are positioned properly at customer locations
  • Complete all documentation at the end of the route

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with an air-brake endorsement

  • Zero (0) to four (4) years of previous experience in a driving position
