The Delivery Driver at Sysco plays a crucial role in efficiently executing daily routes with multiple stops, where loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading products at designated locations is a routine task. The candidate will thrive in a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at assigned loading docks and returning empty trucks at the end of the route. Occasional assistance with loading trucks and palletizing products may be required as directed by a Supervisor or Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
  • Efficiently run routes, meeting or exceeding designated route times
  • Unload products from trailers, handling weights between 1-100 pounds
  • Verify delivery and obtain signatures, addressing any discrepancies
  • Manage customer complaints professionally
  • Follow safety rules and perform pre-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of route delivery experience or related driving experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required
  • Ability to read and understand English
