The CCT Residency Program at Tufts Medical Center provides a unique opportunity to begin a career in healthcare, even without prior clinical experience. This program is designed to equip you with essential clinical care skills and integrate you into a direct patient care team. Candidates are required to commit a minimum of 12 months, working at least 36 hours per week with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Opportunities exist across various inpatient care areas, including maternal fetal medicine, emergency, adult complex Med/Surg, ICU, and procedural areas. During the application and screening process, applicants will have the chance to express their interest in specific areas of focus.

As a CCT, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care. You will develop vital skills and confidence in taking vital signs, placing EKG pads, assisting patients with mobility and daily activities, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of one of the following programs:
    • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
    • Medical Assistant (MA)
    • EMT-B
    • Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences
    • Associate degree in arts or sciences
  • Current BLS certification required prior to starting employment

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a relevant program as listed in qualifications
