Skills

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverage options
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, carriers, and team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for preparing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Experience with agency management software (Applied TAM, EPIC, or AMS360 preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries about policies, coverage, and claims
  • Conduct policy reviews, recommend coverage options, and prepare renewal proposals
  • Collaborate with producers to market new business and negotiate renewals for the best coverage and cost balance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives and underwriters
  • Utilize agency management software and carrier rating portals efficiently
  • Keep client and policy records up to date in the agency management system
  • Stay informed about industry trends and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial lines account management or a related insurance role
  • Active Property & Casualty License (required)
  • Preferred certifications: CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), or equivalent
