Due to the critical service needs of the communities we serve, we are offering a \(1500 sign-on bonus.* Additional \)500 sign-on bonus for Qualified Mental Health Professionals. This position is a Full-time, benefit-eligible role scheduled from Monday to Friday. The Community Support Specialist provides integrated, holistic, community-based support services aimed at enhancing the well-being of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and group education services based on clients’ strengths and needs
  • Assist clients in developing Wellness Plans and achieving their recovery goals
  • Offer support in accessing public services and aid clients in discharge planning
  • Facilitate skill-building in daily living tasks and personal support systems
  • Communicate actively with the integrated health team to enhance client wellness
  • Maintain accurate documentation within required timeframes
  • Engage with clients to promote recovery efforts and follow-up on appointments

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required
  • Preferred: Associate’s/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a human service-related field

Education Requirements

  • If no degree has been obtained, one of the following is required:
    • At least four (4) years of experience with a High School/GED
    • At least two (2) years of experience with an Associate’s degree
    • At least one (1) year of experience with a non-human service Bachelor’s degree
    • No additional experience required if the degree is an Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution

Experience Requirements

  • All experience must include working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities
  • A valid driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required
