Skills

  • Active LPN license in the state of Connecticut
  • Previous experience in pediatrics is highly valued
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is required; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential patient care by gathering vital information to support provider assessments
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor and record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms
  • Assist in medical procedures within your licensure
  • Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families on various healthcare topics
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care
  • Collaborate with external partners, including school nurses and other medical departments
  • Triage patient calls using established protocols to determine appropriate care
  • Educate patients and families on after-hours care and disease states
  • Coordinate specialty care, including contacting specialists and setting up home therapies

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active LPN license in Connecticut
  • Previous experience in pediatrics is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
