As the Compliance Program Manager, you will be responsible for auditing both pre and post-legal activities to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies set forth by Northwell and all participating Northwell entities.

  • Knowledge of NYS and federal collections regulations, including FDCPA & CFPB

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a neutral/impartial position while reviewing facts and providing outcomes
  • Review and approve patient responsibility civil suits for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Investigate all aspects of a patient account prior to summons to confirm compliance
  • Review and approve execution orders and settlements in accordance with regulations
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams to ensure internal policies on litigation are upheld
  • Conduct audits and quality monitoring
  • Prepare reports detailing audit findings for stakeholders
  • Support legal functions as a witness in court hearings when required
  • Foster a culture of performance and accountability across Northwell entities

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant legal debt collections and/or auditing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Legal experience preferred
  • Strong results orientation and ability to meet targets
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive progress in ambiguous environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
