Skills

  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista or similar accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts receivable (AR) management and ensure accurate billing for multiple projects
  • Partner with project managers to track progress and manage lien waivers
  • Oversee percentage-of-completion billing
  • Handle subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with the “pay-when-paid” structure
  • Process AIA billing, sales tax reporting, and contract-driven financial oversight
  • Analyze job costs to determine project billing status
  • Support financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Drive process improvements in financial operations

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree (AA) in Accounting or Finance required
  • Industry experience: Construction background preferred but open to candidates with transferable skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Good communication skills to explain financial details clearly
