Due to rapid expansion in all of our clinics, we are offering a $4,000 sign on bonus.* We are eager to continue serving clients in our service areas and need you to make this happen! The Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center provides direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric capacity, maintaining standards of Professional Nursing Practice. You will participate as an interdisciplinary team member responsible for the overall coordination of care and services delivered to individuals experiencing behavioral crises. Collaboration with members of the healthcare team is essential to provide patient and family education.

Skills

  • Effective verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills
  • Cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to manage multiple stressors
  • Ability to work with patients who may be verbally or physically agitated
  • Strong nursing care skills, including health assessments and medication administration

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing care such as health assessments, pain assessments, and vital signs
  • Administer medications, including medication passes and injections
  • Manage medications, completing and updating the MAR, and counting controlled substances
  • Provide patient education regarding physical health and medications
  • Coordinate care with staff, residents, family, physicians, and pharmacies
  • Report and record observable changes in individuals’ behavior and physical condition
  • Assist staff with various diagnostic and treatment procedures
  • Participate in team and leadership meetings as assigned
  • Provide direct patient care to adults in a psychiatric setting
  • Participate in mandatory overtime as needed

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required
  • Practical Nursing Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • LPN, RN, or GPN/GN licensure required, passing the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Practical Nursing Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s in Nursing
