Skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B preferred, Class A accepted)
  • Ability to operate a vehicle under varying traffic and weather conditions
  • Strong customer relations and problem resolution skills
  • Effective planning and organization of work activities
  • Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques
  • Proven communication skills and ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Adaptability and ability to build customer loyalty

Responsibilities

  • Run daily routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
  • Unload products by hand or using a hand cart and place them in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify delivery items with customers and obtain signatures
  • Handle customer complaints professionally
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Communicate any delivery errors or returns to management

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
  • Must be able to read and understand English
