Description

The Delivery Driver at Buckhead Meat Company is tasked with running daily routes that involve frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at designated locations. This role requires operating in a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from a nightly delivery and returning empty trucks at the end of the route. The ideal candidate will be efficient, capable of handling physical demands, and willing to assist with loading and unloading as required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently run designated routes, meeting or exceeding route times
• Unload products from trailers to designated customer storage areas
• Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing up to 100 pounds
• Verify delivery of items and obtain customer signatures
• Communicate discrepancies with management and handle customer complaints professionally
• Follow safety regulations and perform pre-trip inspections

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• One year of route delivery experience or applicable background in driving a straight truck
• Valid Commercial Drivers License preferred
• Must be able to read and understand English
