Description

The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring that product deliveries are executed efficiently and effectively. Drivers are responsible for running daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at each designated stop. The candidate will operate within a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks to the assigned lot at the end of the route. Occasionally, assistance may be required with loading trucks, palletizing products, and performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently run routes, adhering to designated times
  • Unload products from the trailer and place them in customer storage areas
  • Lift, push, and move products weighing between 1-100 pounds
  • Verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Communicate errors and handle customer complaints professionally
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B preferred, Class A acceptable)
  • Must be able to read and understand English
