Summary Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in San Diego, CA. This position involves contributing to the agile development of communication, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on secure practices and will assist in the creation of an automated security framework for robust deployment tools. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership in DevSecOps domains including Vulnerability Scanning, Certificate Management, Password Policy Management, and Data Analysis for security monitoring outputs. - Collaborate on daily Security and Compliance initiatives. - Contribute to the creation of an automated security framework for robust deployment tools. - Develop software along with associated artifacts in the software development lifecycle. - Translate high-level designs into resilient, maintainable software processes. - Engage as a team player during design processes, supporting sprint planning, code reviews, and scrums. - Develop modules, install software on designated nodes, and deploy configuration files. - Create and implement test scripts. - Provide support for both functional and system-level testing. - Collaborate closely with the operational Project Management team to ensure successful development sprints and adherence to timelines. - Utilize DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI pipelines, SonarQube, Nexus, Ansible, Docker, RPM package management solutions, build tools, and code metrics. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Computer, Software, Math, Physics, Electrical, etc.). - 3 years of experience in software development or DevSecOps. - 2 years of hands-on experience with C++ 11 (or greater) for intricate systems and processes. - Proficiency in Python, Bash, CMake, and Web technologies (node.js/React). - Sound knowledge of Linux OS, including CentOS/RHEL, RPM, and UNIX build processes. - Familiarity with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD. - Experience integrating static code analysis, SAST, and code metrics tools. - Comfort with agile development practices. - Eligibility to obtain a US Secret clearance.
