As the Director of Asset Management, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of properties, including both owned and partner-managed assets. This role requires expertise in all aspects of the real estate investment cycle—acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, construction, operations, financing, and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement business plans that maximize property performance and long-term value.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of real estate investment and affordable housing

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine asset management strategies to optimize property performance
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including hold/sell evaluations and investment forecasts
  • Oversee major capital improvement projects and property renovations
  • Lead the disposition and marketing of assets designated for sale
  • Manage financing strategies, including loan structuring and cash flow distribution
  • Coordinate with joint venture partners to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Provide strategic recommendations on investment decisions to support company growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with lenders, equity partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic drivers, and competitive landscape to make data-driven decisions
  • Work closely with property management and acquisitions teams to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years in multifamily real estate asset management, with leadership experience
  • Strong background in real estate investment and affordable housing
  • Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate across departments

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree is strongly preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in multifamily real estate asset management.
