Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong drafting/design experience in electrical concepts and terminology (e.g., Ladder, Loop, PID diagrams)
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical concepts (UL508, NFPA, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple CAD standards

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and draft designs from engineer’s sketches or other engineering documentation

  • Visually compare designs for accuracy against datasheets
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of drawing sets
  • Collaborate effectively with the design team and management
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information
  • Complete assignments on time and within budget constraints
  • Continually improve technical and professional abilities

Qualifications

  • AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Control Panel design experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical concepts and CAD standards
  • Excellent written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements

  • AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design or a related field preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Associate’s Degree preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of drafting experience in the electrical field
  • Proven experience in electrical design concepts and terminology
