Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the department’s daily operations, including resource allocation and scheduling
  • Achieve departmental billability targets (82.5% target)
  • Oversee staffing, recruitment, and training to ensure a high-performing team
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee morale and safety
  • Support department sales and marketing initiatives, generating new business opportunities
  • Plan and communicate the department’s growth strategy and vision
  • Plan and manage project deliverables, ensuring quality, on-time completion, and budget adherence
  • Coordinate resources and cross-functional teams to meet project goals
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Act as the project lead or manager when necessary, overseeing technical design and implementation
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Track departmental budgets and ensure proper resource allocation
  • Enforce quality control procedures to guarantee high standards of deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical or controls engineering
  • Experience managing a team of engineers is preferred
