Description
The Electrical Technician will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical control circuitry throughout the plant. This role involves working closely with the Electrical Supervisor and Electrical Maintenance Manager to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Skills
- Proficient in repairing and replacing electrical components such as generators, motors, and controllers
- Capable of installing and maintaining electro-mechanical and electronic components
- Experience in preventive maintenance of electronic and electrical systems
- Knowledgeable in testing solid-state circuitry in digital and analog equipment
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Proficient in using specialized digital cameras and thermographic imaging for analysis
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace defective parts in electrical fixtures
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment components
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Track inventory and complete annual inventory processes
- Design and modify motor power control equipment circuits
- Prepare schedules and coordinate activities with other divisions
- Ensure accurate completion of preventive maintenance duties
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Technician related field from a certified college
- Certification in Electrical Technician field from an accredited institution
- A minimum of five years of experience in a steel producing and rolling mill environment
