M Health Fairview is seeking dedicated EMTs to join our team. Our organization has been serving the community for over 134 years, responding to more than 30,000 calls annually. You will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) transport care during inter-facility transfers and 911 calls as necessary. This role operates in a union environment with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide BLS transport care during inter-facility transfers and 911 calls
• Assist ALS staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as needed
• Transport patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines
• Document patient information per program standards
• Ensure safe transfer of patient care to other providers
• Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
• Foster a culture of improvement and efficiency within the team

Qualifications

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) certification from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board
• Valid driver’s license and DMV record meeting M Health Fairview EMS insurability requirements

Preferred:

• Previous experience driving a medical transportation vehicle

Education Requirements

• Completion of an EMT training program approved by the state of Minnesota

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)

Experience Requirements

• Experience in emergency medical services preferred but not required
