Skills

• Demonstrated math skills for calculating quantities of products.
• Prior experience or training in operating machines for cutting and threading pipe is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures for setup and maintenance of machines in the Fab Shop for pipe fabrication.
• Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe lengths.
• Measure and cut pipe using a band saw and/or torch, rolling and grooving lengths, and threading and beveling pipe with Landis machines.
• Move loose and/or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard.
• Assemble pipe orders in either single sticks or bundles and maintain organized work supplies.
• Observe necessary safety precautions during fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping of pipe for storage and transportation.
• Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson’s safe operating procedures.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but familiarity with machinery is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
