Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) is seeking dedicated Entry-Level Firefighters who will protect lives and property by engaging in firefighting, emergency medical care, fire prevention, disaster response, community service, and public education. Compensation and Benefits

  • Firefighter recruits earn \(23.10/hour during the academy, with a salary of \)70,000 per year for probationary firefighters after completion.
  • Education differential: 2% for Associates, 4% for Bachelors, and 6% for Masters, the highest in Colorado.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid FireTEAM test scores and CPAT certificate
  • Current State of Colorado EMT Basic or National Registry EMT Basic Certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks and assessments

  • No prior firefighting experience required, but preferred with an AAS/AA degree
