King County Fire District #2 (KCFD2) is establishing a hiring list for Entry-Level Firefighter/EMT positions. All candidates must complete the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network (NTN) before August 22, 2024. You will be responsible for providing fire protection and emergency services to the community, and work as part of a dedicated team that values operational efficiency and community engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary Information (2024 Rates):
    • Probationary Firefighter: $6,757.09
    • Third Class Firefighter: $8,205.03
    • Second Class Firefighter: $8,687.68
    • First Class Firefighter: $9,652.98
  • Additional bonuses for veterans and KCFD2 Volunteers.

Skills

  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college education preferred
  • Academy certification not required prior to conditional offer

Experience Requirements

  • KCFD2 Volunteers will receive a 5% bonus on their NTN score
  • Veterans will receive additional points based on service duration and status
  • Experience with teamwork and community service is preferred
