Tulalip Bay Fire is actively seeking to establish an eligibility list for the Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic position. This role requires applicants to submit a TBFD application, which can be obtained directly from us or via our website. This job posting takes precedence over any previously stated qualifications.

The Department will rank candidates based on their application, combined written test scores, and oral board evaluations. Selected individuals will be invited to proceed through the subsequent stages of our hiring process.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $7,987.12 per month Schedule: 4896 with 14 Kelly days

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls for fire and medical assistance
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain readiness
  • Provide emergency medical care as a paramedic
  • Assist in fire suppression and prevention activities
  • Maintain equipment and apparatus

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license
  • No record of suspension or revocation of driving privileges
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and criminal record check
  • No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories
  • Successful completion of a department medical physical examination

Education Requirements

  • Washington State EMT-P Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Current PALS or Handtevy Certification

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Certification in Emergency Medical Services

Experience Requirements

  • Preferred: IFSAC Firefighter I & II Certifications, HAZMAT Operations and Awareness, Pump-Ops Certification, Blue Card Incident Command Training, IFSAC Fire Officer 1, IFSAC Instructor 1
