Skills

• Strong math skills for calculating quantities of products
• Experience with machines for cutting and threading pipe is a plus
• Ability to focus on results in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures for setup and maintenance of machines in the Fab Shop for pipe fabrication
• Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe lengths
• Measure and cut pipe using band saw and/or torch, rolling and grooving lengths, and threading and beveling with Landis machines
• Move loose and/or bundled pipe within the pipe yard
• Assemble pipe orders in a neat and organized manner
• Observe necessary safety precautions during fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping
• Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson’s safe operating procedures

Qualifications

• Demonstrated math skills
• Prior training in machine operation for pipe fabrication (preferred)
• Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced environment

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
