The City of Des Plaines is currently seeking Entry Level Police Officers to join its dedicated Police Department. Qualifications

  • U.S. resident.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license (Illinois license required by hire date).
  • Age 20 to under 35 as of the written exam date (exceptions for military service and certain prior police employment).
  • No felony convictions.
  • Residency in Illinois required by hire date.
  • Valid POWER test card issued within six months prior to background investigation.
