The Burr Ridge Police Department is currently accepting applications for Entry Level Police Officers. Candidates must complete an application with the National Testing Network (NTN), including the FrontLine National exam, Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA), and Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ). Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Burr Ridge Police Department application process
  • Pass the National Testing Network’s Frontline exam
  • Participate in oral interviews with the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
  • Undergo background investigation, polygraph exam, psychological exam, and preemployment physical examination

Qualifications

  • Must be between 21-34 years old at the time of application (exemptions for military or prior police experience)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • No felony convictions
  • Valid POWER Test Card, dated within one year prior to the posting of the Final Eligibility List
