Description

We seek a Safety Technician to assist with program updates and provide safety support to construction operations. This entry-level position is designed to introduce the employee to the safety field. The Safety Technician will work under the direct supervision of an experienced Safety Director, collaborating with field operations to foster a safe work environment for Team Members while using independent judgment to resolve safety-related issues. This is a full-time position based in our Plantsville office in Connecticut with no remote option.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: \(50,000 - \)60,000 (depending upon experience and skill level)

Skills

• OSHA 10-hour construction certificate (required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish, English/Portuguese) preferred

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field (strongly preferred)
• Experience in heavy civil construction, transportation, or related field (preferred)
• Knowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA
• Experience with Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) (preferred)
