The Environmental Planner / Project Manager will play a crucial role in our Northern California office locations, including Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose. This position involves leading multi-faceted analyses and evaluations related to environmental compliance for water resources projects. We are looking for a candidate with at least five years of professional experience who embodies intellectual curiosity and proactivity.

Our Water Practice focuses on various water resources plans and projects, including water supply infrastructure, flood protection, wastewater, and recycled water. You will contribute to environmental analysis, permitting, and implementation for numerous clients, ensuring positive impacts on water resources and the provision of safe, clean water throughout California.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of environmental planning, policy, and science

Responsibilities

  • Lead client meetings and present complex information effectively
  • Drive marketing and business development for selected tasks and projects
  • Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental planning, policy, science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in environmental compliance evaluations
  • Experience managing environmental projects, especially related to water resources
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
