Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of customer sales and service functions
  • Strong managerial abilities and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in customer service software, spreadsheets, and word-processing, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in using credit card processing systems (e.g., ICVerify) and telecommunications products and services

Responsibilities

  • Event Management: Oversee all aspects of assigned shows and events to meet customer needs, including exhibitor lists and staff scheduling.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and guide Customer Sales and Service Representatives and Event Coordinators. This includes managing performance, addressing team member relations, and providing career guidance.
  • Customer Sales & Service: Manage customer sales and service for assigned events, ensuring timely service, accurate billing, and appropriate up-selling. Resolve day-to-day customer issues and correct billing disputes as needed.
  • Event Coordination: Attend pre-show conferences and facility management meetings to understand client needs and expectations. Represent our organization at off-site client events as required.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the delivery, return, and tracking of customer-leased equipment, including inventory system updates.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop staff, prepare performance plans, and create monthly service desk schedules.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to resolve customer sales and service issues.
  • Office Management: Maintain office supply inventory and purchase supplies as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the team and our customers.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the tradeshow/event industry and/or telecommunications field is highly valued.
